The Heart of Wild Africa – essential | A Journey into Primate Country | Uganda | 10 Days

0
  • 10 Days

Tour Details

East Africa, a geographical and cultural heartland, beckons with an irresistible allure. It’s a place where iconic landscapes are painted with the drama of the wild, and ancient cultures thrive amidst modern aspirations.

Uganda sits at the heart of East Africa, straddling the equator and often called the “Pearl of Africa” — a phrase attributed to Winston Churchill. The country packs an extraordinary range of landscapes into a relatively compact area: from the snow-dusted peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains to the papyrus-fringed shores of Lake Victoria, and from rolling tea plantations to the open savannahs of the north.

Uganda is not just a destination — it’s the very soul of gorilla trekking. With over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas calling its misty forests home, Uganda offers the rarest encounters in their most authentic setting.

Rwanda, the “Land of a Thousand Hills,” captivates travellers with its breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture, and remarkable resilience. From the misty mountains where gorillas roam to the bustling streets of Kigali, Rwanda offers a unique blend of adventure, history, and relaxation.
