Enjoying Morocco starts with nothing more strenuous than its national pastime – people-watching in a street cafe with a coffee or a mint tea. Use the opportunity to plan your next moves – hiking up North Africa’s highest peak, learning to roll couscous, camel trekking in the desert, shopping in the souqs or getting lost in the medina. Between the activities, you can sleep in boutique riads, relax on panoramic terraces and grand squares, and mop up delicately flavoured tajines – before sweating it all out in a restorative hammam. 

Mount Toubkal, mountain peak that is the highest point (4,167 metres) in Morocco and in the Atlas Mountains. The peak is situated 60 km south of Marrakech in the High Atlas (Haut Atlas). Juniper forests covering the mountain’s higher slopes are succeeded by alpine meadows, whereas the lower slopes have been extensively overgrazed.
The peak is the central attraction of Toubkal National Park, an area noted for its winter skiing and summer hiking.
Mount Toubkal is a non-technical summit with its highest peak at 4,167 meters. At the peak awaits views of a dramatic border between land, ocean, and desert.

Join the centuries-old trail of nomads and traders to their ancient hearts, from the winding medina maze of Fez to the carnivalesque street-theatre of the Djemaa El Fna in Marrakesh. In the rocky deserts medinas are protected by kasbahs, on the coast by thick sea walls. But it’s not just a heritage trip, as Morocco’s cities are forward-facing too, with glitzy new urban design in Casablanca, Rabat and Tangier looking to the future as well as paying homage to their roots.

Itinerary

DAY 1 – Arrive in Morocco, Marrakech

Individual arrival to Marrakech
Private transfer to Hotel / Riad

Depending on your arrival time, for those travelling from Lisbon on TAP Air Portugal at 1200pm, there is a tour of Marrakech in the afternoon.

DAY 2 – Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou

Following breakfast, we make our way to Ait Benhaddou.
On a distance of 64 km from Marrakech, you will travel the small roads of the Ourika Valley rushing into the high Atlas, a river surrounded by greenery. A place of walk and rest appreciated by Moroccans and foreigners, a large orchard place, the valley is located southeast of Marrakech.

Between reddish slopes or clinging villages and terraces, limpid and abundant water running between the rocks watering the small meadows.
7 km further you arrive at Setti Fadma, which with its waterfalls is the most attractive place in the valley.

Enjoy delicious tajines in one of the many traditional restaurants and then go on a camel ride or simply on foot to admire the beautiful landscapes of the area.

Following this we make our way to the Imlil Valley where we will overnight.

DAY 3 – Atlas Mountains

Be ready for an amazing day as we head out on a walk through the lush Imlil Valley in the Atlas Mountains to enjoy stunning views along the way and the wonderful nature.
We will explore the area very well; the walk is at least an hour and 6 hours at most.

You will have lunch in a wonderful Berber family house that serves you the most delicious food (salad – delicious tagine – seasonal fruits) before heading to explore the Imlil mountains, which is characterized by the picturesque village, a wonderful place in the Atlas Mountains decorated with stunning landscapes and the opportunity for an easy climb and hiking in Jebel Toubkal, “the highest peak in Morocco”.

Then we head to Moulay Ibrahim and the charming Plataux kik to the Agafya desert known for its rocky landscapes in order to enjoy the unforgettable sunset and ride on camels to complete your day with wonderful and unforgettable experiences.

Finally, drink tea before returning to Marrakech after a wonderful and enjoyable day.

DAY 4 – Ouzoud

Early breakfast.
Today you will cross many villages and traditional Moroccan cities as we travel to the Ouzoud waterfalls.

There you will have 4 hours to enjoy the setting and its natural beauty, meet the monkeys and birds that populate the area, you can also swim or just have a coffee and relax beside the waterfalls.

You can also enjoy a delicious tajine in one of the many traditional restaurants while admiring the beautiful landscapes of the area.

After a peaceful and relaxing day, return to Marrakech around 7 pm.

DAY 5 – Marrakech - Departure

Free morning or tour of Marrakech is you weren’t able to visit on the first day.

Private Transfer to Marrakech Airport depending on your flight time.
