With the Tagus River as a backdrop for the tour, we’ll take you to the monuments that bear witness to our great discoveries on seas which had never before been explored and where you can visit one of our most fascinating museums.

Sintra keeps many of the Royal Family’s secrets. It safeguards them with affection and gratitude in every corner of the secular monuments it houses. Sintra was classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. But start the day at Azenhas do Mar, close to Sintra, a unique town perched on the cliffs.
Continue the tour through Colares (one of the eldest’s wine regions of Portugal), all the way through the coast until Cabo da Roca.
During this trip, you will be able to see where the Portuguese Royal Family spent its summers, as well as Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe.
We’ll also pop by Boca do Inferno (Hell’s Mouth), the cosmopolitan town of Cascais and the gardens of the Estoril Casino.

Explore the historical sites on the West Coast of Portugal.
Visit Óbidos, a town embraced by medieval walls with streets lined with whitewashed houses. Protected by its imposing ramparts, this ancient bastion held by the Romans is dazzlingly beautiful.
Gaze upon the impressive Gothic churches of the monasteries of Alcobaça and Batalha (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). The monastery of Batalha, a true masterpiece of Gothic architecture, was the major construction site of the Portuguese monarchy for almost two centuries. You’ll appreciate the finesse and elegance of its immense cloister. Explore the Alcobaça monastery, distinguished by the splendour of its Cistercian architecture.
Stop for lunch in Nazaré, a typical fishing village. Today Nazaré has become the world capital of big waves, thanks to the notoriety given to it by American surfer Garret McNamara.

Depending on your flight departure, pick for the transfer to the airport. Check-in formalities commence at 3 hours before departure.
The tour ends at the airport for check-in and security formalities and to board the flight home.

Note: If the visit to Lisbon (day 2) falls on a Monday, it must be changed to a different day because on Mondays museums in Lisbon (namely the Jerónimos Monastery) are closed.
